Nancy Hiatt

Ms. Hiatt is a social work administrator who has managed victim services agencies in Arizona and was instrumental in developing and opening the Northern Arizona Center Against Sexual Assault.  She has also been widely involved in numerous statewide coalitions and board positions including, among others, Arizona’s Coalition for Victim Services, Sexual Assault Network, Child & Family Advocacy Network, and the Children’s Justice Task Force.

“Ms. Hiatt’s appointment as Executive Director at Home of the Sparrow marks the end of a transitional period for the organization and a beginning of a new phase of growth,” states Bruce Bendix, President of the Board of Directors.  “The Board is extremely delighted that Nancy, with her breadth of capabilities and passion for the mission, has accepted our invitation to be Executive Director.”

In her new role, Ms. Hiatt will be responsible for enhancing and expanding on the legacy of Home of the Sparrow.  She will oversee administrative operations, fundraising and fund development, program development, community relations, board management, and partnership development.

Ms. Hiatt completed both her B.A. in sociology and her MBA at Purdue University and completed her Master of Social Work Degree at Arizona State University.  She and her husband are in the process of relocating from Porter, Indiana to McHenry County.
